The Florida Marlins Baseball team is playing well and looking to pass the 500 mark. The fans in So. Florida are wishing the team a winning run to the make the playoffs.

The Marlins won games against the NY Mets and the Phillies, as well as beating Pittsburgh and Toronto on the road. The Fish has a winning record with their new manager, Tony Perez, and hope to win more games playing interleague teams like the Boston Red Sox and State rival Tampa Bay Rays. The Marlins have the best NL record when it comes to winning AL teams. They are 41-28 and counting… This season the Fish has more than 30 wins.

Players like Ryan McGuire, Ryan Dempster, Alex Gonzalez and Cliff Floyd, to name a few, have stepped up their game and are looking forward to a strong finish. In the game against the Mets at Pro Players Stadium, more than 13,000 fans witnessed Ryan McGuire hitting a grand slam helping the Marlins to a 5-3 victory. Mets player Mike Piazza did his shtick and hit a home run, his 14th, but the Fish pulled the W. In a recent game in Toronto, pitcher A.J. Burnett gave the Blue Jays only two hits, helping the Marlins to 6-1 victory. The team is on a roll, the players are giving their max in every game and feeling good.
